There have already been plenty of festivities this Christmas at Handsworth Golf Club, and more are to come. The festivities include our 2024 Christmas Party and Meet Santa in the Clubhouse.
2024 Christmas Party Recap: A Night to Remember
Our winter wonderland-themed 2024 Christmas party was dazzling, bringing together 80 guests for an evening filled with festive cheer, delicious food, and joyful camaraderie. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the optional black-tie attire added an extra touch of elegance.
The night began with a warm and festive reception, as guests enjoyed a selection of canapés alongside their choice of Winter Fizz or Mulled Wine – setting the perfect tone for the evening.
As the festivities unfolded, attendees were treated to a sumptuous 3-course meal, beautifully presented at tables adorned with seasonal décor. The holiday magic continued with a sweet ending of mince pies and coffee, fully immersing everyone in the Christmas spirit.
Highlights of the 2024 Christmas Party
→ Charity Fundraising: A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who contributed to raising an impressive £430 for A Child’s Heart Charity, a cause near and dear to our Captain and Lady Captain. This generous support will make a meaningful impact!
→ Entertainment: Our resident DJ had the dance floor buzzing all night with an irresistible mix of 70’s, 80’s and classic Christmas tunes. The lively beats and festive vibes kept the energy high well into the early hours, ensuring no one left without a smile.
→ Raffle Prizes: Guests had the chance to win some fantastic prizes, including a Marks & Spencer Christmas Hamper, a Sweet and Chocolate Hamper, and a Carvery Meal for two at the Golf Club. Congratulations to the lucky winners!
The event was a magical celebration of the season, made even more special by our guests’ excellent company and our dedicated team’s hard work. From the festive décor to the impeccable service, every detail came together to create an unforgettable evening.

Meet Santa in the Clubhouse: A Magical Sunday
Last Sunday, our club was bustling with excitement and holiday spirit as it transformed into a vibrant hub of festive cheer for the much-anticipated ‘Kids Meet Santa’ event. Families gathered in joyful anticipation, and the atmosphere was filled with laughter and the magic of the season.
It was heartwarming to witness the sheer delight on the children’s faces as they met Santa Claus, shared their Christmas wishes, and received little surprises.
From 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM, families gathered to enjoy the holiday spirit. Between 40 and 50 joined in, starting with a delicious Christmas buffet brunch.
The spread included a Full English breakfast, Steak, Bubble and Squeak, Gammon steaks, cereals, toast, and more. It was fantastic value at just £10 for adults and £5 for children—and the rave reviews showed it was a hit!
The highlight of the day? Santa himself made a grand entrance at our Parkland Golf Course, chauffeured by none other than Mickey Mouse! Although there was a slight hiccup with his buggy, Santa arrived in style, spreading joy as he handed out presents to all the children – and even a few lucky parents!
While festive tunes played in the background, children dived into holiday fun with arts and crafts activities, plus the chance to decorate gingerbread people. It was heartwarming to see the creativity and excitement on their faces!
Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day truly special. The combination of great food, joyful activities, and Santa’s visit created memories to treasure.
