We were thrilled to welcome over 120 enthusiastic competitors to our Spring Pairs Open, making it another vibrant and well-attended event.
There was a real buzz around the clubhouse, and it was fantastic to see such a strong turnout from both home and visiting golfers.
Despite a few ominous forecasts earlier in the week, we were fortunate that the weather held up beautifully. The skies stayed clear, and the conditions were just right for some top-quality golf.
For early April, the course was in excellent shape – a testament to the hard work of our greenkeeping team. The greens were true, fast, and fair, allowing players to test their skills and enjoy their rounds to the fullest.
What really stood out this year was the wide range of players who took part – from seasoned club regulars to new faces from across the region.
Seeing a strong showing of lady golfers contributing to a wonderfully inclusive and welcoming atmosphere was particularly encouraging.
We also received some fantastic feedback from our visitors, many of whom commented on the quality of the course, the friendly hospitality, and the smooth running of the day.
Hearing such positive responses makes all the effort worthwhile and motivates us even more for next year’s event.

Top Three Pairs
Here are the top three pairs receiving their prizes from Club Captain, Jeff Burn.
It was a tightly contested competition with some fantastic scores posted:
1st Place: John Tunstall (HGC) & Dave Taylor (Brocton Hall) – 45 points (Back 9: 23 pts)
2nd Place: Ian Wallington (HGC) & Max Wallington (HGC) – 45 points (Back 9: 22 pts)
3rd Place: Mark Dickinson (HGC) & Rob Harper (HGC) – 44 points (Back 9: 23 pts)
Best Back 9 Score: Keiron Parker & Shaun Burge (Bewdley Pines) – 23 points
